Hey friend — I’m so glad you’re here. Welcome!

I’m Rachael — wife since 2000 (please don’t do the math on that one). I’m also mom to two incredible young adults who are out there making their own mark in the world, and I share my lovely home with a tiny, very cute miniature beagle named Indiana “Indy” — our built-in therapy dog and emotional support animal.

By trade, I’m a mental health therapist (officially since 2017, unofficially since childhood — middle-child peacemakers, you may know how that goes). But more than that, I’m a woman who’s lived through deep pain, powerful healing, soul-level transformation, and all the in-between moments that don’t fit neatly into a beautiful package.

This space is part journal, part coffee chat, part lifestyle blog — where you’ll find a mix of practical tools for mental health and wellness, honest stories from my life, insights from marriage, family life and reflections that weave faith, science, and everyday living into something beautiful and real.

I’ve also been walking with Jesus for as long as I can remember. My faith has been my anchor — not in a picture-perfect kind of way, but in a raw, wrestling, sometimes-on-my-knees kind of way. The kind where you question, cry, hope again, and keep going. But marvelling at God’s faithfulness in my life. His love has never failed me.

You might catch glimpses of my current health journey (spoiler: it’s not linear), thoughts on body-mind-spirit connection, and some behind-the-scenes bits of family life, grief recovery, or what I’m currently loving (books, cozy routines, helpful organizing tips and maybe the occasional HomeSense or Winners find).

If you’ve ever felt like you’re too much or not enough, if you’ve wrestled with faith, struggled with your mental health, or just need someone to say you’re not alone — you’re in the right place. I hope that this space feels like a deep breath, a safe landing, and a place where you can explore healing without shame.

And just in case no one’s told you lately:
You are wildly loved. Your story matters. Your life has purpose — even in the messy places.

“For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.”
-2 Timothy 1:7
